Remember back in 2012 when Nicky Hayden rolled out of the pits for practice at Laguna Seca? He was wearing an Arai Corsair V with a really unique graphic – a full face high end race helmet painted to look like he was wearing an open face helmet from the 60’s. Remember Easy Rider? Yeah, that one with the stars and stripes…
Nicky had an image of that helmet painted onto his Moto GP helmet, and people went nuts wanting to know where they could get one. Well here’s the good news – Arai has released a limited production run of what they are calling the Arai Corsair V GP Limited Helmet, or, the Arai Corsair V Easy Hayden. There were several times during the race where the onboard footage with his head turned to the side, really made him look like he was wearing an open face helmet. I thought it was hilarious at the time, and I know I would have a blast seeing all the double takes I know you’ll get when you ride around in this new helmet.
As I mentioned, the Arai Easy Hayden is a limited production run of the well respected Arai Corsair V, one of the best motorcycle helmets on the market today.
