Icon Overlord Prime Hero Leather Jacket Review

Icon has been a brand focused on the urban street scene for many years. Their graphic designs and styles appeal to the crowd that is living life on the edge, and isn’t afraid to be different. The Icon Overlord Prime Hero takes that edgy style, and offers it in a jacket that looks like it has its roots in the track. The Overlord Prime Hero jacket is made from 1.2-1.4 mm premium leather. The leather is good and thick, but high quality thus break in time should be minimal. Icon calls the fit of this jacket their “Attack Fit,” put simply; it’s designed for the tucked riding position. The arms are turned forward, and the torso tapers down towards the waist. So, in case you have somewhat of a gut, this jacket might be a little snug for you. I will say that the sizing is still a bit more generous than some of the European brands. Accordion style stretch panels behind the elbows and shoulders keep you mobile, as well as stretch material along the inner arms. Probably one of the most obvious features of the Overlord Prime Hero may be the outer armor on the shoulders, elbows, and back. Shaped sliders are constructed into the shell, and provide the jacket a really tough appearance. In relation to the looks: there are sublimated skull designs on the front of the torso combined with the Icon logo and a few industry patches. Icon logos are also located on the sides of the shoulders and torso, and an Icon logo runs down the left sleeve as well. Armor includes CE approved armor for your shoulders and elbows, as well as a dual density foam back pad. Be sure to check out all Icon Moto gear in our online store.
