The new Fly Paradigm Helmet is an amazing value for the price. For under two hundred bucks, you get a helmet that is both DOT and ECE approved, and is constructed of an advanced blend of fiberglass, Kevlar, and carbon fiber. While Fly Racing is fairly new to the street gear scene, they are no stranger to quality helmet construction. With a strong background motocross, these guys know what it takes to build a quality lid. The Paradigm Helmet’s composite shell not only offers a truly lightweight feel, it also provides excellent impact protection. Working in conjunction with the advanced composite shell, the dual density EPS liner helps to provide progressive impact absorption, which translates to more safety for you as a rider. The EPS foam has air channels that line up with the outer vents on the helmet and the comfort liner, directing cool air to your head while hot air is drawn out the back. The chin vents and upper front vent are both closeable, and are easily operated with gloves on. Six rear exhaust vents draw hot air out of the Paradigm Helmet, which should help keep your head cool even on those warm summer rides. Paradigm Helmets ship with a clear, anti-fog treated shield. We huffed and puffed but couldn’t get the shield to fog, so that is definitely a welcome feature if you live in an area where fogging is a problem. Thanks to the quick change system, the shield is very easy to change out as well. There is a spring loaded shield release lever on each side. Once depressed, the shield pops right out into your hand. Installation is just as easy, so swapping out to one of the optional tinted, mirrored, or colored shields is a snap. The Fly Racing Paradigm is available in several different graphic styles and solid colors, with an excellent finish and clear coat that really looks great! A medium Paradigm weighed in at 3.65lbs on our shipping scale.
