Yamaha World Superbike Team Unveils 2011 Livery

Yamaha_R1The Yamaha World Superbike team has just unveiled the team livery for the 2011 season. Marco Melandri, Eugene Laverty, and the Yamaha R1 will be dressed in blue and white this year.

The new design features a Yamaha blue corporate racing color, and was inspired “from both the famous Yamaha speed block design and also one of the colours of the current production model YZF-R1.”

The start of the World Superbike series is just a few weeks away, and the Yamaha World Superbike team will join the rest of the grid at Phillip Island for the final testing session on February 21st. The season will start the next week in Australia on February 27th.
