Interwetten Honda to Pull Out of MotoGP After Valencia

motogp_interwetten_honda For most of the MotoGP paddock, this weekend will be the final round of the 2010 MotoGP season. But for Interwetten Honda, it will be their last race in the MotoGP series.

The Interwetten Honda team will not be running a motorcycle in the 2011 MotoGP season, but did say that they plan to return to the premier class in 2012. In the meantime, Interwetten Honda will be focusing their efforts on the Moto2 division.

Hiroshi Aoyama rode with the Interwetten Honda team this year, but wasn’t able to achieve the results that Honda had hoped for.

“It is a pity that the team cannot continue,” Aoyama said. “I had a really good time with them and I want to thank the team for all they did for me.”

Interwetten Honda will continue with Thomas Luthi in the Moto2 division for the 2011 season.
