ama_aaronyatesThe AMA Superbike Championship welcomes back Michael Jordan Motorsports’ Aaron Yates this weekend, for the eight round of the AMA Pro Superbike Championship at the Virginia International Raceway.

Yates has not been in a competitive race since March, when he broke his leg during a practice round at Fontana in California.

“I’m excited about riding and really looking forward to getting back out there,” said Yates. “It’s been a while and I’ve been getting a little bit bored sitting around the house. I went down to one crutch a couple of weeks ago and have been getting around with no crutches at all for about the last week. I’m feeling pretty good and figured that if I can walk, I can ride. At least I can get out there in practice and see how it goes. It will be good to be out there at VIR with the guys on the team, my sponsors, and my fans.”

Brett McCormick, who has been racing in Yate’s place, will also be racing this weekend. McCormick is currently ninth in the series.

Blake Young was expected to race this weekend, but the Rockstar Makita Suzuki rider is still recovering. Young was injured at Barber Motorsports. Young’s manager, Peter Doyle, says that Young will be back soon, but could not give an exact date. “I think it’s one of those injuries that you just have to let heal in its own time,” Doyle said. “We want Blake back 100 percent healthy so we can go out there and try to win some races full force. We’ll just have to take it a day at a time.”

  1. After reading this I thought it was very informative. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this post together. Once again I find myself spending way to much time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worth it! <a href="//legosforgirls.info/
